One of the most intriguing figures in the entire New Testament is our very own patroness, Saint Mary Magdalene. Known as the “Apostle to the Apostles", Mary Magdalene brought the message of Our Lord’s Resurrection to the Apostles in the Upper Room. She is truly an inspiration to the Catholic Church, nearly 2000 years after she lived on earth.

Since her feast day is in the middle of the summer and we don’t have Porta Fidei classes at that time, we are going to read the book by Fr. Sean Davidson titled, Saint Mary Magdalene: Prophetess of Eucharistic Love.

Although this is a book study and we will learn about Magdalene, I would like to do things a little differently. For the four weeks beginning on April 10, I would like for us to gather in the Adoration Chapel for 30 minutes (10:00am – 10:30am) to first pray with Our Lord before we read about her. Since Fr. Sean spent time in Adoration writing this book, I think it’s only fitting that we spend time in Adoration before discussing the book.

Required Book needed for this study: Saint Mary Magdalene: Prophetess of Eucharistic Love (Amazon)

For the first session on April 10, please read Chapters 1 -2.
